Frequently asked questions.

Are you registered with any professional bodies?

Yes, I am registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with The British Psychological Society (BPS).

Do you work with couples as well as individuals?

The majority of my work is with individuals. However, I usually have one or two slots available for couples, so it is always worth getting in touch.

Do you offer any kind of consultation before I decide to book a session?

Yes, I do. As much as I’ve tried to communicate my ethos and practice here to help inform your choice, therapy is a dialogue and it is difficult to make a choice without talking to one another.

As such, I always offer a free 15 minute telephone or zoom consultation before any commitment to therapy is made. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions, see if you think we’re a good fit, and for me to ask you some questions about why therapy and why now. I can also confirm my availability and other logistics, and you can then take the time you need to decide whether you would like to start therapy with me as your psychologist.

What happens if you can’t help me?

In some cases following the telephone consultation, it may be that I don’t think I am the right psychologist for you. Usually this is because the area that you might want help with isn’t an area that I specialise in, and I know that other psychologists will be better matched to help you. In cases like this, I will always try to make recommendations of other therapists who I think could help.

How long is a session?

An individual or couples session is 50 minutes duration.

I am sometimes able to offer double sessions for those who request them.

What is your fee?

My fees are as follows:

  • Individual therapy: £120 per therapy session

  • Couples’ therapy: £130 per therapy session

I asked that payment for your therapy session is made ahead of us meeting for the session by bank transfer.

Do you offer online or in person therapy?

Currently all of my available appointment slots are online (via Zoom). When I do have in person appointment availability, these are in South London and Surrey.

What is your current availability for appointments?

I currently have availability at various times on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the morning and afternoon.

I have no evening availability at this time.

Currently I have availability for online/remote appointments via Zoom, but not face to face appointments.
